What is MySelfnet?
All members living in the dormitories can manage essential services like room network, Wi-Fi, or VPN themselves through MySelfnet.
With MySelfnet you can:
- Create port forwardings for your external IPv4 address and open ports for IPv6 adresses
- Find your Selfnet Wireless LAN & VPN login credentials and turn these services on and off
- View current quota
- Block your room network when subletting your room
- Change the registered e-mail address
- Cancel your Selfnet membership
These services are an additional offering for our members. Since MySelfnet is available 24/7 there is no need to wait for the next office hours. Nevertheless, we are always happy to help you in the office hours.
Please take note of the following:
- When registering, you will receive a link via e-mail to set your MySelfnet password. If the link has expired, you can use the “Forgot password / First time here” button on the MySelfnet login page to receive a new link.
- Regarding opening ports (for IPv6) or forwarding ports (for IPv4) you have to agree to the specific rules for opening ports / forwarding ports within MySelfnet! Please keep in mind that by opening or forwarding ports you take on a greater responsibility for IT security than usual.
- All changes are applied to our components every 30 minutes. Please be aware that your changes will not take effect until after this update.
